Autotierra may require a deposit or pre-authorization as part of the booking process.

3. Vehicle Use

By renting a vehicle from Autotierra, you agree to:

  • Use the vehicle only for lawful purposes
  • Not operate the vehicle under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or any impairing substances
  • Not allow unauthorized drivers to operate the vehicle
  • Not use the vehicle for unauthorized commercial purposes, racing, improper towing, or illegal activities
  • Comply with all applicable traffic laws and regulations

Any misuse may result in immediate termination of the rental agreement and additional charges.

4. Rental Period and Return

  • The rental period begins and ends as stated in the rental agreement
  • The vehicle must be returned on the agreed date, time, and location
  • Late returns may result in additional charges
  • The vehicle must be returned in the same condition as received, allowing for normal wear and tear

Autotierra reserves the right to repossess the vehicle in the event of a breach of these Terms.

5. Fees, Payments, and Deposits

  • You agree to pay all applicable fees, including rental charges, insurance, taxes, and additional costs
  • A valid credit card may be required for a security deposit
  • Additional charges may include fuel, cleaning, damages, fines, tolls, and late fees
  • Payments are non-refundable unless otherwise stated

6. Insurance and Liability

  • You are responsible for any damage to or loss of the vehicle during the rental period
  • Optional insurance coverage may be available but may not cover all situations
  • You may be responsible for deductibles, uncovered damages, or negligence

We strongly recommend reviewing all insurance terms before accepting the vehicle.

7. Accidents, Damage, and Theft

In the event of an accident, damage, or theft, you must:

  • Notify Autotierra immediately
  • Report the incident to the appropriate authorities when required
  • Provide all necessary documentation (police reports, photos, etc.)
  • Not admit liability without authorization

Failure to follow these steps may affect insurance coverage and result in additional liability.

8. Fines, Violations, and Tolls

You are responsible for:

  • All traffic violations, parking tickets, and penalties incurred during the rental period
  • Toll charges and electronic toll collection fees
  • Administrative costs associated with processing such violations

Autotierra may charge these costs directly to your payment method on file.

9. Cancellations and Refunds

  • Cancellation policies may vary depending on the selected rate
  • Late cancellations or no-shows may be subject to fees
  • Refunds, if applicable, will be processed according to current policies

10. Website Use

By using our website, you agree not to:

  • Use it for unlawful or fraudulent purposes
  • Attempt unauthorized access to our systems
  • Copy, reproduce, or distribute content without permission

We reserve the right to restrict or terminate access for misuse.
